HitchCon ‘25:
A CENTURY OF HITCHCOCK
Third day added!
October 3-5, 2025 • Online
One hundred years ago, Alfred Hitchcock launched a directing career that changed the course of cinema. Join an international lineup of authors, educators and filmmakers for a three-day weekend of talks, panels and audience discussion examining Hitchcock’s films and their impact then, now and on what lies ahead.
HitchCon ‘25: What’s in store
This year, HitchCon goes online to examine Hitchcock’s influence on directors from Almodóvar to Kubrick to Lynch and his imprint on films and TV from The Conversation to Severance and The Substance. Talks will highlight Hitchcock’s impact abroad and offer fresh takes on theater, class, camp and Pure Cinema. Authors will preview new books on Hitchcock and Bernard Herrmann and a new Vera Miles biography.
We’ll also celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Pleasure Garden with a fresh look at Hitchcock’s first film and benefit from close readings of North by Northwest and both versions of The Man Who Knew Too Much. Sessions will reassess Hitchcock’s legacy through Buddhist philosophy and mid-century psychology. A Century of Hitchcock will prove that his body of work is indeed “always green, ever living” and continues to provoke new questions, offering delights and insights that will serve humankind into the next century.
